Derek from 5ThirtyOne has graciously made his 'v2' theme available to the public [download], and I'm trying it out. It makes a great first impression - clean code and bits of JavaScript functionality built in (check the 'about' and 'search!' pages in the menu, and also the 'similar' and 'freshness+' on single post pages).
So far things look pretty good, I'm thinking about adding some kind of 'latest comments' section in the sidebar maybe instead of/near 'archives by month'. Other than that, maybe add a 'subscribe/RSS' page, and also get FAlbum working again to show off my Flickr photos.
Please let me know what you think of the theme, and maybe make some suggestions for further tweaking...

Looks like you got your database up and running again. Congrats
You'll need to let me know what Mint plugin you're using to display that bar graph. I've always wanted one of those.

Derek, I haven't yet imported the DB, but will do it later today...
The WP plugin I'm using to get the stats graph is Sparkstats. The flexibility of this is amazing - if you update frequently and have any amount of activity on your site, it's an easy way to show it.
On your personal version of this theme (v2), the modal search displayed 'popular mints' - what were you using to do that? I've used GetAMint, but it only gives very basic output..

I cheated. I was using wp_links to manually edit popular links. I could never get the plugin to work properly.

I'm using Yaakov's Mint plugin (I'm sure you know it Derek) on my Archives page. It took a bit of messing about to make sure it displayed the pages I wanted and some tweaking of titles but works fine or far.

hey mate, i am using Grid Focus theme also, and was curious as to how you got it to work where the main page shows full posts instead of just excerpts, i tried all i could, but i am probably just stupid.
Thanks.
